Amidst a sea of information in the Internet
which only serves to create more confusion, I have tried to present only the
important aspects of Point Based Skilled Migration to Australia as briefly as
possible.
What is the application process?
Step (i) EOI
Submit the online form of EOI (Expression of Interest)
with genuine information.
Step (ii) APPLICATION
The submitted EOI is ranked on the basis of claims made in the EOI. Invitation
for application will be issued to those prospective
applicants who achieve the highest rankings. Authentic documents as per the claim made in the EOI must
be annexed to the application.
Are there subclasses of the Skilled Migration Visa?
Yes, there are:
Subclass 189 (Skilled independent – Permanent)
Subclass 190 (Skilled nominated – Permanent)

What is the basis of ranking (Point System)?
As per the claims made in the EOI, points are
assigned. The threshold for eligibility, currently is 60.
